How does Check Point count users?

The majority of Check Point products are licensed based on the number of IP addresses protected behind the firewall. The software only counts actual IP addresses in use that it sees crossing the firewall. So for instance you might have a Class C network with 255 addresses available, but you might only use 40 IP addresses on your network. A 50 IP address license would be sufficient. Remote VPN users are "free" in that their IP addresses aren't counted, because they aren't behind the firewall. Likewise, if you have a Web server, incoming Web visitors are not counted against your total.

Education Pricing

We offer Check Point educational pricing to qualified institutions, which include primary schools, secondary schools, colleges, universities and polytechnics.

To determine the educational price for software, divide CheckPoint's suggested retail price by 2. On SecureHQ the suggested retail price is shown on the description page for each item. Educational prices are not shown on the site, and educational orders can't be placed online. Please contact SecureHQ Sales to place an order or request a quote.

Note that educational pricing involves extra paperwork, and will delay delivery by about a week.

Check Point Shipping, Delivery and Tax

• Check Point orders are processed the same business day when ordered by noon Eastern time. CD-ROMs and manuals are delivered physically. License keys, software subscription id numbers and technical support id numbers are delivered by email to the shipping email address you provide during checkout, generally within a few business days. Check Point software is not available for download.
• There are no returns on software subscriptions or support contracts once they are registered at CheckPoint's web site.
• Our standard shipping and processing fee is $20 per order.
• Our standard shipping method for U.S. orders is 3rd business day. This means that once the package is shipped, it will arrive within 3 business days. This does not guarantee that the package will arrive 3 days after you order it. We also offer faster shipping options.
• We do not charge sales tax unless the order is shipped to Georgia, Kentucky, Tennessee, or Washington, D.C.

Check Point International Shipping

Check Point products can be shipped internationally, subject to our international ordering guidelines, which include payment by wire transfer and a minimum initial order of $2500.
