Offering a full suite of Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching capabilities as part of the base software, the EX 4200 series switches satisfy a variety of high-performance applications, including branch, campus and data center access deployments as well as Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) aggregation deployments. A single 24-port or 48-port switch can be deployed initially; as requirements grow, Juniper Virtual Chassis technology allows up to 10 EX 4200 series switches to be interconnected over a 128 gigabit-per-second (Gbps) backplane and managed as a single device, delivering a scalable, pay-as-you-grow solution for expanding network environments. Flexible Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) and 10-Gigabit Ethernet (10 GbE) uplink options enable high-speed connectivity to aggregation- or core-layer switches which connect multiple floors or buildings. All EX 4200 series switches include HA features such as redundant, hot-swappable internal power supplies and field-replaceable, multi-blower fan trays to ensure maximum uptime.

Phone support is sold separately for Juniper products

Telephone support and product updates are not included with Juniper products, but are sold separately. All Juniper products include 90 days of software subscription (free upgrades), which includes the latest firmware for appliances and the latest versions of all VPN products. Email support is provided for one year. Appliances include a one year factory replacement (RMA) warranty. We strongly recommend that customers purchase a support bundle with the product.

Recommended support options

Juniper Core Plus support includes return-to-factory warranty. However, you must return your appliance to Juniper before Juniper ships a replacement, which can take up to 10 days. We recommend Next Business Day support - if you have a problem Juniper will ship a replacement unit overnight delivery before you send back your appliance, so you're never without a box.

Juniper Shipping, Delivery and Tax

  • Most Juniper firewall and VPN appliances are in stock and available for immediate shipment. IDPs are delivered in one to two weeks. Software licenses are ordered the next business day. Juniper takes about a week to process support orders.
  • Juniper items are non-refundable. Juniper will replace defective items that are under warranty.
  • Our standard shipping and processing fee is $20 per order.
  • Our standard shipping method for U.S. orders is 3rd business day. This means that once the package is shipped, it will arrive within 3 business days. This does not guarantee that the package will arrive 3 days after you order it. We also offer faster shipping options.
  • We do not charge sales tax unless the order is shipped to Maryland, Tennessee, or Washington, D.C.
